Vocablists was founded on a simple principle: learning vocabulary should be intuitive, engaging, and effective. I was tired of disorganized word lists and tedious drills. My mission is to build the most comprehensive, well-structured, and user-friendly vocabulary learning platform on the web.
My Story
Hi, I’m William, the creator of Vocablists. From an early age, I learned to read. This was not surprising as my grandparents opened a bookstore in 1969, the year I was born. I was clearly in a literary family.
My grandfather opened the store after retiring from a career as a programmer. He worked on machines with punch cards! So I also had the technical side as part of my Heritage.
Words have always fascinated me, and having an advanced vocabulary has been helpful in life.
Now I live in Thailand, where speaking a second language is essential. I need to learn words just to do mundane tasks, such as shopping or going to the doctor. This can turn ordinary, tedious tasks into an adventure!
